Cappiello retires from Blue Ridge Bone & Joint
ASHEVILLE - After 36 years, Dr. David Cappiello has retired from Blue Ridge Bone & Joint Orthopaedic Specialists. A specialist in sports medicine, arthroscopy and hip, shoulder and knee surgery, Cappiello graduated from Harvard University in 1960 and received his medical degree from Cornell University in 1964. "It has been a pleasure getting to know my patients in Western North Carolina over the years, as well as working with all the staff members at Blue Ridge Bone & Joint and the hospitals in Asheville," Cappiello said. Cappiello has also been affiliated with Mission Hospitals, Thom's Rehabilitation Hospital and the VA Medical Center in Asheville. He is a member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Buncombe County Medical Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, North Carolina Orthopaedic Association and the Southern Orthopaedic Association. Cappiello and his wife, Trudy, reside in Asheville.
