Tally H. Eddings III, M.D.

Dr. Tally Eddings' orthopaedic practice focuses on total hip and knee replacements, arthroscopic treatment of shoulder and knee pathologies, and all fracture care.

Dr Eddings routinely performs joint replacements using computer-assisted navigation (knees). Arthroscopic procedures for the shoulder include repair of torn rotator cuff tendons, repair of labral tears, decompressions and partial distal clavical excisions. Arthroscopic procedures for the knee include anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, meniscal repair and debridement, and repair of cartilaginous lesions.

Dr. Eddings holds a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Biology from Vanderbilt University, with related work in Chemistry. He carried out additional research in Microbiology at the University of Georgia. Dr. Eddings earned his Medical Doctor degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1991. His residency and orthopaedic training were completed at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine's Department of Orthopaedics. He studied advanced Orthopaedic Traumatology in the United States and Germany.

Dr Eddings, his wife, and three daughters have lived in Asheville since 1998 and are active members of the community. In his free time he enjoys traveling, horseback riding, fishing and spending time with his family.
