John M. Hicks, M.D.
Dr. Hicks graduated from Davidson College with a Bachelor in Science in Chemistry. He received his medical degree Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Columbia, SC. He completed his internship at the University of Tennessee, Department of Surgery, Memphis, TN. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN. He completed a combined Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical Spine Surgery Fellowship at University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA. He specializes in Spinal Disorders and Surgery as well as General Orthopaedic Surgery.
SPECIALTY FOCUS
Dr. Hicks specializes in the treatment of adult and pediatric deformity (scoliosis), tumors of the spinal column, and degenerative conditions. He has a special interest in lumbar and cervical stenosis, spinal deformity, minimally invasive care and fracture management. He has additional training in disc arthroplasty and other innovative surgical techniques.
