Dr. Mangone was featured in Mission Hospital's most recent issue of Orthopedic Quarterly. Blue Ridge Bone & Joint is proud to support Mission's orthopedic surgery facilities. The full text of the article is below:

Join us, the physicians and employees of Blue Ridge Bone and Joint Clinic, in cheering the UNCA Men's basketball team this Tuesday, March 15th, when they play in Dayton, OH in one of the "First Four" games in the 2011 NCAA Tournament.  If UNCA wins the first game, they will take on #1 seeded Pittsburgh in Washington, DC on Thursday, March 17th.

Dr. Peter Mangone is being recognized as a thought leader and a pioneer in arthroscopic ankle surgery with the acceptance of a manuscript he co-authored entitled "Arthroscopic Lateral Ankle Ligament Reconstruction" for publication later this year in Techniques in Foot and Ankle Surgery.  As a fellowship trained orthopaedic specialist in foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Mangone began looking into performing this surgery as far back as 2007.

Blue Ridge Bone and Joint Clinic is the main sponsor for the Asheville Catholic School 5th Annual Shamrock 5K/10K Run on March 12, 2011.  In addition to financial support provided by the physicians, Dr. Michael Shea and Dr. Peter Mangone along with physical therapist Mike Piercy will be on-site for the event to help with anyone needing assistance with injury or illness.  This is just one of many community events Blue Ridge Bone and Joint Clinic sponsors in the Asheville/Hendersonville area as we strive to keep our community Full Motion Living.

Dr. Peter Mangone, one of the three fellowship trained foot & ankle physicians in western North Carolina who practice exclusively at Blue Ridge Bone & Joint, recently acted as an instructor to colleagues from around the country at the Arthrex Small Joint Course.  During the two day, June 25 and 26, 2010 meeting, Dr. Mangone presented on the subjects "Achilles tendon disorders" and "midfoot injuries and 5th metatarsal fractures."  Dr.

Dr. Peter Mangone, one of the three fellowship trained foot and ankle surgeons at Blue Ridge Bone & Joint, has had his abstract accepted for presentation at the July, 2010 American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Surgeons summer meeting.  The presentation will detail a new minimally invasive technique for arthroscopic lateral ligament reconstruction.

Dr. Peter Mangone, one of the three fellowship trained foot and ankle surgeons at Blue Ridge Bone & Joint, acted as a member of the teaching faculty at the Arthrex Foot and Ankle Sports Medicine Arthroscopy Skills Course in Naples, FL on March 4 and 5, 2010.  The conference provided Dr. Mangone with an excellent opportunity to share his skills with colleagues.
