Ashley Ruiz is a board-certified family practice nurse practitioner who is passionate about integrative and functional medicine. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner in 2019, she worked as a registered nurse for 13 years with training in multiple areas of nursing, including research and evidence-based practice, neurosurgery, neurology, genetics, gerontology, urgent care, pediatrics, family medicine, and extended care nursing.

Ashley obtained her nurse practitioner degree from Florida International University, graduating with honors in 2019.

Her passion for functional medicine includes holistic orthopedics, antiaging and regenerative medicine, and autoimmune and neurodegenerative conditions. She previously held the chair position for the Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice Council at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, Florida. Ashley continues to expand her knowledge of preventative care practices and has recently been accepted to the Integrative Health Coach Professional Training program at Duke University.
