Thalia attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate coursework and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health education and behavior in 2014. She later graduated with a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences in 2018. During her clinical fieldwork, Thalia completed a 12-week rotation in hand therapy, which launched her passion for rehabilitation of the upper extremity. She enjoys the complexity of treating surgical and nonsurgical orthopedic diagnoses and creating custom orthoses to facilitate the healing process. Thalia strives to provide compassionate, client-centered care and is currently working toward obtaining her Hand Therapy Certification. She joined the team at EmergeOrtho in November 2020.

In Thalia’s free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, Willow, and backyard hens.
