Scott attended The University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he earned a bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science with a sports medicine concentration. In addition, he earned a minor in sport coaching in 2007. Directly after graduation he continued his education at Western Carolina University where he earned a Master of Physical Therapy degree. He is currently a Staff Physical Therapist at the Hendersonville PT office. He enjoys playing sports, traveling, spending time outdoors and time with his family.

Participated in 1 year long research study group completed under the direction of James R Scifers, DScPT, PT, SCS, LAT, ATC. The research study was presented at the 2009 WCU Graduate Research Symposium. Western Athletic Knee Scale (WAKS) 2009: Reliability of an Assessment Tool for Knee Injuries in the General and Athletic Populations. Study completed through Western Carolina University Department of Physical Therapy,Cullowhee, NC 2008-2009.
