Tommy Middleton Joins EmergeOrtho | Blue Ridge Region as New Chief Executive Officer

EmergeOrtho | Blue Ridge Region recently welcomed a new Chief Executive Officer, Tommy Middleton, on Monday, April 19. Mr. Middleton brought with him over 10 years of diverse experience in health care administration, and he is well-suited to lead the team of experts at EmergeOrtho | Blue Ridge Region.

“I am very proud to join the team at EmergeOrtho | Blue Ridge Region as well as the Asheville, Arden, Fletcher, Hendersonville, Waynesville and Weaverville communities as a whole,” says Mr. Middleton. “With this excellent group of providers and dedicated medical staff, I see a very bright future for the practice and look forward to being a part of it.”

Prior to joining EmergeOrtho | Blue Ridge Region, Mr. Middleton worked at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he served as the Business Administrator and Clinical Service Line Administrator for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation. His many responsibilities included overseeing budgets, developing strategic plans, implementing new programs, supervising day-to-day activities, and working to enhance the patient experience.

Mr. Middleton received his Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Business Administration from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. After completing his undergraduate studies, he went on to earn his Master of Business Administration degree and his Master of Science in Health Administration degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
